"Sullivan Cove on the crowded north shore of the Severn River is a piece of history of the river's undeveopled past. Surrounded by Severna Park and the many other communities that dot the river, the cove has a rich marsh and two healthy stands of Atlantic White Cedar, a tree rarely found in natural stands on the Chesapeake Bay's Western Shore.The cove is also the object of a classic battle between the owner of property on the cove who wants to develop it and those who want the cove preserved."
