Sponsored by the Olde Severna Park Improvement Association, this website is dedicated to provide accurate public information regarding the status of dock and bridge applications in Sullivan Cove, Severna Park, Maryland 21146. SaveSullivanCove provides articles, pictures, and video of the cove with an emphasis on the sensitive ecology of this "Gem of the Severn". The ultimate goal is to STOP the issuance of bridge/walkway permits in the tidal ponds and marshes.n If construction permits are granted by the Maryland Department of the Environment, the objective of the blog will be altered to chronicle the construction process and damage to the cove and wetlands. We are not against the riparian rights of a home owner to have a DOCK. The applicants will have easy access to their pier from the nearby community waterfront that provides parking, bathrooms, dumpster, etc.

ABOUT OLDE SEVERNA PARK IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Originally founded as “The Severna Park Improvement Association, Incorporated”, August 13th, 1918. Purpose: “The Corporation is organized exclusively for pleasure, recreation and similar non-profit purposes to promote the general welfare of the residents of Olde Severna Park, Anne Arundel County, and to regulate and maintain the parks, beach, walks and landings; to own real estate for the benefit of residents; and to concern itself in any other matters affecting the well being of the aforesaid community."
