These photographs were taken in late December 2008. They demonstrate the uncompromised beauty of the ponds.

On March 30, 2009, a press conference was held by the Severn Riverkeeper, Fred Kelly. With him were the scientific and technical experts to present their findings regarding the health of the Severn River. The news is sobering because the river is deteriorating where fishing and swimming could be jeopardized in the future.
